Hi ! JustXThings here. The Theater Of Sinners adult play focuses on abuse, humiliation, sadism, masochism, self-harming tendencies and D/s relationships. Kinks aside, expect a dark story. Romance is present, but in an unconventional, twisted and abusive way. If these kind of dynamics make you uncomfortable, I'd advise against playing this game.
About "The Theater of Sinners"
The Theater of Sinners is a multi-layered story based in a fictional parallel universe in a slightly paranormal set-up and focus on the struggles of different abused characters to cope with their own feelings. It's centered in the relationship between Paula, the "disappointing" daughter of an all-mighty figure and Rebeca, an abused child too proud to realize how twisted she has become.
Overview
Meet Paula, daughter of an all-mighty figure which somewhat ends mixed up with a bunch of teen delinquents which bully and turn her into some kind of deviant pervert.
Meet Rebeca, raised by an addict mother and an abusive step-father which fails to see she has become what she once hated the most.
Meet a collection of some lovable and mostly detestable side characters. Shape their personality, follow their struggles and eventually decide where their stories lead to.

Mechanics
Decisions might either raise the stats of the characters or "branch" the story line towards a more harsh, less harsh outcome. Some are obvious, some are not.
The available events can be played in any order. But playing an event which raises a stat before another event will influence it.
Making a decision might lead to opening an event or reaching a particular milestone within the story which adds new events to the characters.
WiP
Most of the more prominent features, like the gallery, the story mode, or the event selection pictures depending on stats level are in development. It is expected that the gallery should accept branching choices as well as multi-character stats before triggering the gallery event. Right now everything is pretty basic. The tutorial has been disabled in the current alpha version but shall be available later on.
There is a master story mode file (story/act_events.rpy) which eventually can be uses to create "your" own story. Or more precisely, to tell the story the way you had preferred. Right now there are too little events to be relevant.
Music
The music is currently VERY scarce. That shall improve with future releases. Expect classical pieces and background noises.

The author of this game did not create the story by randomly or purely through imagination, but rather it seems that they used direct experience to create the narrative. This is evident in the fact that many aspects of the game are incredibly realistic, which made it easy for me to see myself in the story as I played. In fact, even the facial reactions of the female characters were very strained, which added to the overall sense of realism.
I have played a few adult visual novels that were similarly messed up, and even before I started playing this particular game, I knew that it would be a different kind of experience for me. For those who have not yet played the game, All i can tell is it is very heavy and dark. The story of the game is really depressive but also impressive either, characters are realistic af I definitely recommend it.

Ngl i feel like im in this for the wrong reason (the story not to actually jerk off). Mature dark content is a pretty recurring theme in a lot of porn material whether it's porn or hentai. It would normally be very disturbing but the fact that these types of characters in these shows behave in ways that have no semblance of reality whatsoever is what makes it okay for most people. With your VN, you focused too much on the personality and trying to make them as realistic as possible and relating all the things happening to them to trauma or abuse. You also encouraged some on that thread to read all that because it makes the scenes hotter. I find that a bit dehumanizing and disturbing. It's not that fact that there is violence or SA, but it's how you go out of your way to make them as realistic as possible (the characters' thoughts and behavior) . It's not my intention to shit all over another individual's work and passion. I also saw that you got pretty offended whenever anyone asked for your patreon since you do this because it's what you're passionate about (not sure if this makes it better or worse). Anyways, im not trying to act sanctimonious or anything but just wanted to share my perspective. I thought i was a lost cause until i came across that thread of degenrates. Hope i didnt offend you

Talking 'deep' about the Theater is a bit problematic because of spoilers. The story itself is fairly simple since it devolves about feelings. The reason why it might seem realistic is not that much because characters are realistic, but because the contrast existing between the four protagonists. They are there to create that illusion of realism.
And yeah... many times while writing this I feel it is too harsh. Next update has really harsh stuff, as well as some goofiness as per usual. But it is a psychological fantasy horror after all and I feel it is necessary for the proper development of the story to show the depth of pain inflicted in the characters.
@JustXThings im sure the next update will take at least months or something and i have unironically become too invested in the story and I wanna know what happens next. Regarding Rebecca and Paula what will happen when they meet also whats gonna happen to paula and the other 2 main characters will it be a good/bad ending or an optional one. Edit: this is the first time ive been that invested in a visual novel. Great job.
Six seasons and a movie !!
TV references aside. I used to write quite a bit in the F95Zone thread of the game. You can find about insights and some other stuff there.
Briefing. There are 3 seasons.
Season 1 ends with Rebeca meeting Paula. We are pretty close to that.
Season 2 focuses on the "fourth-some" relationship between Paula, Rebeca, Agnes and Olivia (provided Rebeca doesn't kill Paula on-sight), as well as Paula's backstory and eventual redemption.
In Season 3 Olivia becomes playable and the story focus on her backstory and her point of view during most of her interactions and Rebeca redemption.
There are two endings and two bad endings planned, one for Paula, one for Rebeca. It's likely that I will add a third main story line ending but I'll just see where everything is going by then.
A bad end for cute Paula?? Oh, say it isn't so! I love the idea of a foursome dynamic coming up, but for the beautifully pliant Paula, can't she simply have just-in-time happy endings before anything actually unpleasant happens? (but hopefully much too late to save her from 'suffering' a lot in her non-consensual sexy adventures, of course...!)
I was hoping our timid heroine could safely experience more trouble with her neighbor and her friend's husband, random gropings, forced orgasms, public nudity predicaments, some hot fun with Sparky and others, and an ongoing Odyssey of being stripped actually naked and barefoot for undeserved spankings and molesting by that subway guy, her creepy bosses and perhaps even that strange-eyed barista... heck, why not let there be the 'scary' option for the player to steer her (protesting) into being a submissive playmate to nearly everyone she meets? That could be an unbelievably awesome storyline!! Or perhaps that would be just a little too much fun? ;)

Is version 6 all in one?
Don't pay attention to the file versions. All links have the same content, one with images at the highest quality and other with images lower quality (compressed version).

Why is the first download labelled version 6, yet claims to be 0.3 alpha 1? Is it the same as the next two downloads, or different?
Why are the first two downloads not compressed? I mean, I have a fast line, but 6x the size still makes a difference
Versions is just me messing up the uploads. All versions are the same, numbers mean nothing.
Compressed here means image compression. The larger ones are webm raw images, without any quality loss, while the compressed ones are webm 0.98 compression rate, which involves slight quality loss.

I played this before, I guess it was the 0.2 version from f95. Are there a lot of new scenes after that version? If so I'd gladly download and replay it from the start. I'm uncertain to replay if there's only a few changes from the previous version. Thanks in advance.
I wouldn't say lot, I wouldn't say few. Quite a bit depending on the corruption path(s).
No worries, I just replayed and finished it lol. I saw there was a lot of new stuff for Agnes, almost nothing new for Rebecca (I mean her solo not w/ agnes); then a few for Paula but mostly last few are teasers for upcoming stuff. I need more Paula submission lol. :) I really like your work. It's different from the usual vanilla I read which is no problem as well but sometimes we really need the darker stuff.
Just a quick game review: If you enjoy mind games and metal bondage with orgasm control, you're in for a treat: the dialogue is well written, the characters fully developed and easy to invest in, and the story is long, suspenseful, unpredictable and full of hot situations catering to a broad spectrum of fetishes. The artwork must have taken hundreds of hours and is quite compelling. I'm looking forward to see what they'll come up with for Paula in the future -- perhaps with Sparky or more spankings by Irwin ;)
Once the story line with Agnes, Paula, Rebeca and Richard finishes (0.3.final in hopefully some weeks from now). The story line Olivia, Paula, Rebeca and Irwin will start (0.4). That will include some "bondage" like scenarios since that is what the Irwin character represents, rage, lack of control and wild instincts.
Sparky is definitely appearing. But its owner is a bit of a weirdo, so the role of Sparky in all this is still a bit fuzzy.

Maybe during the first couple of days when I had to re-upload due to a bug hiding the small "Snow white" introduction. I re-checked now and everything looks fine.
I cant get to any of those events in those pictures. Is there a walkthrough? Or they arent in yet?
